Pre-school project The project regards pre-school children living in the poorest quarter in Bucharest and coming from families in financial distress.
These children are extremely vulnerable as regards school abandonment. This happens because the families do not send thier children to the kindergarten as a result of the poverty. Every year Valentina Romania Association undertakes the payment of the kindergarten fees for 75 children.

Homework project The Homework project is a natural sequel of the Preschool project and addresses to pupils attending the primary cycle - grades Ist to IVth. These children benefit from the support that Valentina Association offers for homework and recreational activities, with the main objectiv of developing their imagination, intellect and personality. The beneficiaries of the project are:


Summer Camp project
On every school-year end 45 of the beneficiay children participate at the summer camp organised by Valentina Association. The children give a large importance to this event because it is their only chance to visit places and temporarily shift the scene.

Hygiene project
Since September 2006, with the support of Mustela Foundation of France, VALENTINA Romania enlarged its activities within its new location “Casa Valentina”. In this house, VALENTINA Romania can host the children for their homework, host the families for hygiene trainings and the laundry programme.

Parents training and employment support project
The aim of VALENTINA Romania Association is to help parents dependant on social assistance to become independent thus improving their social and economic circumstances. Despite a willingness to work, parents face many difficulties searching a job. Placing the discrimination factors aside, their lack of proper formal qualifications are in major issue.
