Professional Training
The goal of Valentina Romania Association is not to make its beneficiaries dependent on social assistance, but to help them overcome their social and professional condition by taking on the role of responsible parents.
Despite their goodwill and our concrete support, we quickly observed the difficulty parents—especially those from Roma families—face in finding employment.
In addition to the discrimination they experience, the lack of professional qualifications is a major barrier on the job market. This is why we decided to support some parents in acquiring vocational training.
We looked for organizations that offer short and practical training courses (2 to 5 months) in accessible professions such as: shop assistant, waiter, cook, bartender, pastry chef, baker, plumber, electrician, carpenter, bricklayer, sheet metal worker, hairdresser, beautician, manicurist, caregiver, security agent, and more.
At the end of their training, participants receive a qualification certificate in their chosen field—a diploma recognized by the Ministry of Labor—which can help them find a job.
